Shayla

Shayla joined us at Kennedy Heights in October 2017 as our new practice manager. She graduated from the Fairview Alberta Animal Health Technician Program in 1995 and completed 13 years as a veterinary pharmaceutical sales representative thereafter. As a practice manager with us, Shayla assists with the everyday business of running a veterinary hospital. And because she is also a veterinary technician, she performs tasks similar to that of a nurse in a hospital. Shayla takes pride in her excellent work ethic and her team-oriented attitude.

Being a friendly person, she really enjoys the daily interactions she has with our clients and their pets. She also enjoys the business side of her job – including all the work that goes into maintaining our high standard of veterinary care and keeping our practice’s perception of value high.

Shayla shares her home with her energetic, kiss-giving Pitbull Frankie and her rescued queen-of-the-house Cane Corso, Fiona. When she is not working, Shayla enjoys baking delicious cakes and cookies as well as spending time with her husband and their two dogs. As our practice manager and part of our team, we truly appreciate the encouragement Shayla gives all of us to bring our best assets and work ethics to the job every day!
